About Soat Tutoring Services

Welcome to Soat Tutoring Services, where we're dedicated to helping elementary and middle school students excel in mathematics. We provide targeted tutoring to both students who face challenges with math and those who seek to enrich their mathematical understanding. Our goal is to take math to the next level, one problem at a time.

Karin Soat

Karin Soat has extensive training in education. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Luther College and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Iowa State University, Karin has an excellent background to support students. In addition, Karin has attended training in Visual Math, Diagnosis and Remediation of Learning in Mathematics, and Singapore Math. As a member of the NCTM, she has kept abreast of new research in the field of mathematics instruction.

In addition to teaching both elementary and middle school, Karin has taught at the collegiate level since 2017, including both Mathematics Through Problem Solving and Math Methods to Pre-service Teachers. Using the NCTM as a framework, these courses engaged future educators in expanding the depth of their instructional prowess in mathematics.
